Nitin Kumar MD
Board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Obesity Medicine
Dr. Kumar is a gastroenterologist and bariatric endoscopist dedicated to helping patients who have diseases of the stomach or intestine, need screening for colon cancer, or need help in managing their weight without surgery.
Dr. Kumar completed Internal Medicine residency at Washington University in Saint Louis. He completed Gastroenterology fellowship and Advanced Endoscopy fellowship at Harvard Medical School/Brigham & Women’s Hospital. While there, he worked in the Weight Management program and trained with pioneers in bariatric endoscopy. Dr. Kumar participated in several clinical trials of nonsurgical (endoscopic) procedures for weight loss. Dr. Kumar completed the Program in Clinical Effectiveness at the Harvard School for Public Health. He also tutored in gastroenterology at Harvard Medical School, for which he received an award from the Harvard Medical School Academy for Teaching and Learning.
